لامست أسعار النفط أعلى مستوى في عدة أشهر اليوم الاثنين، بفضل توقعات بأن أوبك ومنتجون حلفاء ربما يقيدون الإنتاج عند المستويات الحالية في فبراير إذ تُبقي جائحة فيروس كورونا المخاوف بشأن الطلب في النصف الأول مرتفعة.
وارتفعت الأسعار بما يتماشى مع الأسواق المالية بصفة عامة فيما بلغ خام برنت 53.17 دولار للبرميل وهو أعلى مستوياته منذ مارس 2020. ولامس خام غرب تكساس الوسيط الأمريكي 49.71 دولار وهو أعلى مستوياته منذ فبراير 2020.

وبلغت العقود الآجلة لخام برنت تسليم مارس 52.97 دولار للبرميل بارتفاع 1.17 دولار أو ما يعادل 2.3 بالمئة بينما صعدت العقود الآجلة لخام غرب تكساس الوسيط الأمريكي دولارا أو ما يعادل 2.1 بالمئة إلى 49.52 دولار للبرميل.
